49-year-old Peter Drury pled guilty to controlling prostitution to gain between 2013 and 2019 at Crawley Magistrates' Court last November and was sentenced at Lewes Crown Court last Thursday.
The 26 year victim had been contacted by Drury through a dating website. He used her for sex, and sold her on to other men in the South East and Wales. He set up an escort agency called Zara's Escorts. Drury obviously took no notice of those who worked for him, despite him taking 50% of their earnings. Over time the stress of this arrangement caused the complainant increasing distress and eventually she came to the police for help.
