A sex worker who burgled the home of one of her "regular punters" has been spared jail.
Christine Day, 38, stole a TV and cash from the man's home while he was staying with his daughter.
Teesside Crown Court heard how the victim left the property secure apart from the kitchen window which was closed but not locked.
The prosecutor said: "The victim says the incident has left him feeling gutted.
"He now doesn't want to go back to the house and is thinking about terminating the tenancy agreement early."
In a victim impact statement, the man said that he does not allow his grandchildren to stay over anymore, due to feeling unsafe and is now staying with his daughter.
