Three individuals made their appearance before the Portsmouth court, summoned through postal requisition. They faced grave charges, accused of engaging in a conspiracy to exploit prostitution for financial gain, conspiring to partake in human trafficking, and plotting to convert criminal assets. These allegations stem from a thorough investigation conducted by the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU), spanning the period from May 2018 to April 2019, within the confines of Portsmouth.

Notably, during the concise court proceeding, none of the three defendants entered pleas in response to the charges. A date for the trial has been scheduled at the Portsmouth Crown Court, set to convene on September 9 in the upcoming year. Presently, all three defendants have been granted unconditional bail, allowing their temporary release from custody.
