The search for missing 34-year-old sex worker Reanne Coulson has intensified with the arrest of a third person by West Midlands Police. Coulson was last seen on May 21 visiting a food bank at St Mary & Benedict Church on Raglan Street in Coventry.
New Developments in the Investigation
Yesterday, Wednesday, June 25, a 38-year-old individual was apprehended in the Coventry area on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. This person remains in custody as the investigation continues.
This latest arrest follows the detention of a 42-year-old man on Tuesday who was arrested on suspicion of Reanne's murder. He also remains in police custody, with authorities having until late tomorrow to either charge or release him. A 53-year-old man, previously arrested in connection with her disappearance, has been released on bail under strict conditions.
Urgent Searches Underway
West Midlands Police confirmed that specialist teams, including police dogs, are conducting extensive searches in Binley Woods and other land areas within neighboring Warwickshire. Detectives have been working tirelessly, reviewing hundreds of hours of CCTV footage and collecting over 50 witness statements in their efforts to locate Reanne.
Family's Heartbreaking Plea for Answers
Reanne's mother, Lynne Sparkes, made a desperate public appeal today, pleading, "I just want my baby back." She urged anyone with information to come forward, saying, "From one parent to another, you can only imagine how I’m feeling. Please come forward to give our family some closure."
Reanne's twin sister, Kirsten, echoed this plea, specifically asking for information from anyone who was in Vauxhall Street on May 21 or 22. "Just pick up the phone no matter how small it is. Anything is better than nothing. Your information might just help us to find her," she said. "We are all worried sick about her. Words can't describe the pain we are all feeling. Our family are desperate. We need answers. Please help us get Reanne back.”
