A sex offender has been released from prison. Edward William Latimer, 61, had been imprisoned indefinitely. He had committed a series of sex offences that dated back to the 1970s. He had been released on a supervision order in 2014, but was sexually propositioning two women unknown to him. He was placed into detention again. The WA Supreme Court released him, with the proviso he does not meet women, except that he be allowed to visit women in brothels with the hope this will stop him offending again.
